Solar light street lamps consist of LED light sources(including driver), solar panels, batteries(including battery insulation box), solar road lamp controller, street light poles(including base) and auxiliary materials such as cables. The functions of each main component are:
Solar Panels: Solar panels are the core part of the solar power system, and also the most valuable part. Their function is to convert the sun's radiation energy into electrical energy, to be stored in batteries, or to drive the load. The quality and cost of solar panels will directly determine the overall system's quality and cost.
Solar Controller: The function of the solar controller is to control the operation of the entire system and protect the battery from overcharging and deep discharging. In places with large temperature differences, a qualified controller should also have a temperature compensation function. Other additional functions such as light control and timing control should be optional features of the controller.
Battery: Generally, lead-acid gel batteries are used, but in small systems, nickel-hydrogen batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, or lithium batteries can also be used. Their role is to store the electrical energy converted by solar panels when there is sunlight, and release it when needed to power the street lights.
Easy to Install: When installing solar road lamps, there is no need to lay messy lines, just a cement base and a battery pit, fixed with galvanized bolts, avoiding the complicated procedures in the construction of city-powered street lights. At the same time, there are no concerns about power outages or electricity restrictions.
Low Cost: Solar light street lamps are a one-time investment for long-term benefits. Due to the simplicity of the system, there are no maintenance fees or expensive electricity bills. The initial cost is recovered in 6 to 7 years, saving over a million in electricity and maintenance costs in the following 3 to 4 years.

Long Lifespan: Solar light street lamps have a high tech content, with each component's service life being over 10 years, much longer than ordinary power lamps. For example, the lifespan of solar panel components is 25 years, while the average lifespan of low-pressure sodium lamps is 18,000 hours, and that of low-voltage high-efficiency tri-color energy-saving lamps is 6,000 hours.
